Test EngineerPosition OverviewWe are seeking a versatile Test Engineer to design, implement and execute testing strategies that ensure the quality, performance and reliability of our software and embedded systems. The role focuses on test planning, automation and execution across API, web, mobile and backend systems, collaborating with developers and product teams to find and prevent defects early. Ideal candidates combine strong manual testing experience with hands-on automation, performance and integration testing skills and are comfortable working in CI/CD environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test strategies and test cases for functional, integration, system, acceptance and regression testing.Design, build and execute automated test suites using frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, NUnit, Mocha, Jasmine, Cucumber) to support BDD and TDD practices.Create, maintain and run API tests for REST and SOAP services using Postman, SoapUI and automated API test frameworks; validate contract and integration scenarios.Plan and execute performance, load and stress tests using JMeter, Gatling and LoadRunner; analyze results and work with engineering teams to resolve bottlenecks.Author and maintain test scripts, mocks, stubs and fixtures for unit, integration and end-to-end test scenarios; support Hardware-in-the-Loop and embedded testing where applicable.Execute manual exploratory testing, accessibility and security checks (including OWASP-focused tests) and cross-browser/cross-platform validation using BrowserStack, Sauce Labs and local labs.Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions); maintain test environments using Docker, Kubernetes and virtualization techniques.Manage test cycles, test execution and traceability through test management tools such as TestRail and track defects in JIRA or equivalent bug tracking systems.Collaborate with developers on code reviews, static analysis, and testability improvements; contribute to continuous improvement of QA practices and test automation frameworks.Collect, report and interpret test metrics and quality indicators to stakeholders; define exit criteria and support release decisions.Support mobile testing across Android and iOS devices and emulators; ensure consistent behavior across device types and OS versions.Perform database and backend validation using SQL, MySQL, Oracle and NoSQL systems; validate data integrity as part of end-to-end test scenarios.QualificationsBachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.3+ years of professional experience in software testing, including hands-on test automation and manual testing across web, API and mobile platforms.Proven experience with test automation frameworks and tools (Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, NUnit, Mocha, Jasmine, Cucumber).Strong API testing skills with REST API testing experience using Postman, SoapUI and scripting for automated API validation.Experience with performance and load testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner) and interpreting performance metrics.Proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages such as Java, C#, Python or JavaScript and familiarity with test automation frameworks and unit testing.Solid database testing skills with SQL, MySQL, Oracle and exposure to NoSQL databases.Experience working with CI/CD, Git, Docker, Kubernetes and test execution orchestration (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).Familiarity with QA tools and processes: JIRA, TestRail, Test management, bug tracking and test metrics reporting.Knowledge of security and accessibility testing practices (OWASP, accessibility standards) and cross-browser testing strategies (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).Experience with embedded testing, Hardware-in-the-Loop, mocking/stubs and mobile testing on Android and iOS is a plus.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced Agile environment.Excellent communication skills, experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and a commitment to continuous improvement of test strategy and quality processes.
